Professional Services Operations Manager (SaaS)
Location: Hybrid- Employees may be required to work out of the nearest office location for quarterly meetings 1-4 times annually.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an outgoing, motivated, hands-on Professional Services Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have independent judgment and discretion in managing all aspects of company resources to be allocated to billable projects, and to analyze all completed projects for revenue recognition criteria. You will be responsible for driving tactical day-to-day operations of the professional services organization including forecasting, reporting, dash boarding of project finance and resource utilization. The successful candidate will have an ability to synthesize data from different sources, to streamline key business processes, function with remote teams and drive performance improvements. They will have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of project resourcing including planning, slotting and maximizing efficiency of current resource utilization
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of projects (create, track and report on projects including profitability)
- Provide financial and metrics governance, and consolidated PS management reporting
- Oversight with project managers and billing organizations to support month end and quarter end billing cycles
- Improve and automate Professional Services processes
- Critically analyze projects for key revenue recognition criteria
- Review services sales opportunities, and contracts (SOWs); assess rate accuracy and discounting
- Mine and analyze data; identify areas to improve resource utilization, increase revenue, enhance service margins, and minimize risk
- Support PS business development with general reporting activities; provide insights that support business objectives
- Develop and maintain capacity models and predictive resource models based on sales plan and pipeline
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years industry experience in a Professional Services Operations or similar role for a SaaS tech company
- Salesforce experience is a big plus, strong Excel skills are a must
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with Accounting/Finance concentration or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Soft Skills:
- General knowledge of operational and financial levers and metrics within a professional services organization
- Ability to grasp key concepts such as project financials, GAAP revenue recognition, invoicing and billing process as it applies to professional services
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and “wear multiple hats” under demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment - The successful candidate will have a “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and team-driven focus are essential as this team member will be expected to act independently, as well as collaboratively
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to solve problems and work independently with a minimum level of supervision
- Strong sense of business ethics, integrity and discretion
- Effective and decisive under pressure and operating with a sense of urgency
- Ability to use a computer and communicate via video or written means
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 10% or more)
- Ability to work and be available during normal business hours as well as after hours and weekends on an as needed basis
