Kitchen Cook

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and restaurant standards. Operate grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops, and other commercial kitchen equipment. Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, sides, and other ingredients for daily service. Follow proper food preparation, cooking temperature, cooling, and storage procedures. Maintain appropriate food temperatures and prevent cross-contamination. Complete prep work including cutting, chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning ingredients. Ensure orders are prepared accurately and within expected service times. Monitor food quality, freshness, appearance, and portion consistency. Properly label, date, rotate, and store food using FIFO procedures. Maintain a clean and organized cooking station throughout the shift. Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, preparation surfaces, and work areas. Follow food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and workplace safety requirements. Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members. Assist with receiving and properly storing food and kitchen supplies as needed. Notify management of low inventory, equipment problems, food-quality concerns, or safety hazards. Complete opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities as assigned.

Company Profile

Previous restaurant, commercial kitchen, or food-service cooking experience preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking methods and commercial kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently during high-volume meal periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and safely handle kitchen supplies and equipment. Must be comfortable working around heat, steam, hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and commercial cooking equipment.

Kitchen Cook Details:

• Temporary position
• $12.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• Various shifts available ( Monday through Saturday from 09:00am to 10:00pm )

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Restaurant Cook to prepare meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, and ensuring food is prepared safely, accurately, and on time.

Kitchen Cook Qualifications:

Nonslip shoes and food handlers certification would be required
