Senior Tax Manager - Tax Compliance

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our international public accounting practice, RÖDL, in our Houston, TX office. Your responsibilities will focus on Tax Compliance mainly for Corporations in the Manufacturing & Distribution industry. You will work with a select team providing tax services to predominately US-Inbound International Businesses. Our ideal candidate has been with a public accounting firm and really knows tax, and can manage multiple engagements. You will have a great deal of autonomy but will work in a team environment.

Location: The primary location for this position is in Houston, TX (on-site if local). The team is also open to candidates who are available for on-site work at our Birmingham, AL, or Denver, CO offices to assist the Houston team remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Main focus will be on tax compliance
• Be part of our leadership team, train, and develop staff
• Manage client work and relationships
• Review federal and state corporate income tax returns, with some partnership and individual returns exposure
• Review current and deferred income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
• Assist with tax consulting and research, state and local, domestic and international matters common to our clients

Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, preferably with international tax compliance exposure
• Bachelors or Masters in Accountancy or Taxation, or similar program from an accredited college/university
• Minimum of 4-6 years of income tax return review experience
• CCH Axcess experience
• ProSystem fx Engagement experience

PAYRANGE IN DENVER METROPOLITAN AREA (if applicable):

Base Pay Range: $130,000-$175,000/yr
