Java backend developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java backend developer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX(Remote). You will be responsible for developing scalable microservices and integrating secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs while ensuring seamless deployment on AWS .

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java backend developer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build, integrate, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support business requirements.

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot backend applications on AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.

• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices for performance, logging, and error handling.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java backend development.

• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot/Spring MVC, and developing RESTful APIs.

• Proven experience deploying and managing backend applications on AWS cloud services .

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
