The opportunity
EY Technology Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant to support Oil & Gas clients in delivering technology‑enabled transformation by improving operational and finance outcomes through process, data, and platform modernization .
This role focuses on Production Accounting Solutions such as Quorum Energy Components (EC) and ProCount , supporting implementation, optimization, integrations, testing, and adoption activities across the full delivery lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support implementation and optimization of Production Accounting solutions , with a focus on Quorum Energy Components and related platforms (e.g., IFS Merrick ProCount)
- Design, configure, and model allocation networks in Energy Components related platforms (e.g., IFS Merrick ProCount), including documentation of assumptions and output validation
- Analyze Production Accounting system data structures to identify and resolve data quality, volume, or allocation variances
- Support system integrations , including requirements gathering, data mapping, interface testing, and defect triage
- Assist with data migrations from legacy production accounting systems (e.g., Enertia, ProCount, EnergySys ), including mapping, reconciliation, and signoff support
- Document and test regulatory reporting and month-end close processes , capturing test evidence and resolving defects
- Support analysis and documentation of Prior Period Adjustments (PPA)
- Deliver and support end‑user training , including job aids and reference materials
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support workshops and implementation activities
Skills and attributes
- Practical experience in Oil & Gas Production Accounting / hydrocarbon accounting
- Hands‑on exposure to Quorum Energy Components (EC), ProCount, or other commercial Production Accounting applications in implementation, optimization, support, data, or reporting contexts
- Understanding of the hydrocarbon chain of custody , from wellhead through sales and reporting
- Strong consulting fundamentals, including process documentation, testing support, and structured problem solving
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in team‑based environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant experience in consulting, industry, or a vendor environment supporting Production Accounting solutions and/or Energy Components
- Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives
Preferred qualifications
- Prior consulting experience serving Energy or Natural Resources clients
- Exposure to upstream integrations, reporting, or regulatory processes
- Experience supporting data conversions or production accounting controls

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $97,300 to $178,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $116,700 to $202,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
