Quality Control Specialist – Beverage Packaging & FSQA

Why this role matters

Quality at BuzzBallz is everyone’s job—yours is to lead the charge on the packaging line. You’ll be the go-to partner for production, ensuring plastics and print meet spec, records are airtight, and preventative actions keep issues from returning.

What you’ll do

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on plastic cups and bottles following SOPs and quality plans.
• Measure with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators) to confirm conformity.
• Log results clearly; capture nonconformances and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Validate the production schedule, product ID, and materials before/during runs.
• Uphold standards across Quality, Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental programs; communicate equipment, quality, environmental, and food safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Keep the workspace neat and audit-ready; complete all paperwork fully and legibly.
• Support colleagues to work safely and efficiently; follow company policies and OSHA/FSSC requirements.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSQA; contribute to environmental compliance, energy savings, and recycling initiatives.
• Observe safety practices including PPE, LOTO, emergency preparedness, and machine guarding.
• Tackle additional tasks as assigned.

What you’ll bring

• Clear communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate cross-functionally and motivate peers.
• Quality control know-how with the ability to interpret data/metrics for continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• APQP familiarity and FSQA experience; strong QC background.
• Detail orientation and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Physical & schedule

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work at height (mezzanines, ladders, steps).
• Operate in confined, hot/cold, wet, and noisy areas.
• Open to overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
