Point of Sale Systems Specialist- Restaurants
The Restaurant Systems Specialist is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of InfoGenesis and other restaurant technology platforms. This role ensures the stability and performance of POS systems across the enterprise, with a strong emphasis on InfoGenesis deployment and integration. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, a proactive, service-oriented mindset, and preferably a background in restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:- Lead and support InfoGenesis POS implementation projects, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Manage menu programming, pricing updates, and database maintenance across POS platforms.
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for restaurant systems, including InfoGenesis, Aloha, NBO, QSR, and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with store-level management and regional operations teams to resolve system issues and optimize performance.
- Maintain thorough documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support protocols.
- Participate in rotational on-call support, including evenings and weekends.
- Serve as a product owner for one or more restaurant systems, driving enhancements and coordinating with vendors.
- Support new store openings and closures, ensuring seamless technology transitions.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting restaurant POS systems, preferably InfoGenesis and Aloha.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and back-office systems (e.g., NBO/CFC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience with third-party integrations and in-store applications.
- Prior experience in restaurant management or operations.
- Familiarity with InfoGenesis POS systems.
