Your Impact:

At Jacobs, we're seeking a Senior Project Services Manager to lead project controls and project services for a portfolio of major Life Sciences projects in Houston, TX and Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership across cost management, scheduling, planning, forecasting, and integrated project services. You’ll bring an excellent track record of delivering superior technical solutions to Clients through a combination of technical knowledge, expertise and ability to lead a team of multidisciplined professionals working together to execute a portfolio of complex large cap projects.

Some responsibilities will include:

• Providing day to day supervision, guidance, and direction to team members

• Manage a portfolio of projects focusing on commercial, project controls and project services oversight.

• Interfacing with clients, subcontractors, project, construction, and operations management personnel as required

• Solve problems, providing solutions, and help develop innovating work processes

• Implements procedures for Quantity Surveying, Project Services & Contract Management in administration of compliance within company policy.

• Attracting, develop, and retaining a diverse and talented workforce

• Drafts correspondence and keeps records essential for documenting the efficient management of project services & project commercial issues.

• Support team leaders and individual team members and help them achieve their goals and objectives, while simultaneously meeting or exceeding Corporate and Client goals and objectives

• Serve as an escalation point for project teams as required

• Serve in an advisory role to senior management

• Effectively present detailed information to client management as well as to all levels of Jacobs management

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, business, law or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, project management, construction, project services

• Experience in heavy industrial projects – preference towards exp in the Life Sciences, Electronics or Manufacturing facility building industry

Demonstrated experience and expertise in multiple disciplines within the project services portfolio gained through a series of progressively responsible roles

• Experience with commercial review of large cap programs within the EPC industry

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills

• Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset

• RICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor

• Customer focus with strong verbal and written communication skills

• An ability to build, lead and manage a diverse and effective team

The base salary range for this position is $155,600.00 to $265,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
