Mechanical Supervisor (Photovoltaic Plant Project)
Protecnium is an international consultancy specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a major solar photovoltaic project in Texas, USA.

Location: Milano, TX (Austin area / Milam County)
Estimated Duration: 24 months
Start Date: January 1, 2026
Job Summary
The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee daily mechanical field activities for the renewable energy construction project, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and codes. This role acts as a link between engineering design and field execution, providing technical guidance to field engineers and mechanical crews.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate field mechanical personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to mechanical crews, including interpretation of drawings and resolution of field issues.
• Monitor daily progress, maintain accurate records, and report work status to the Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Conduct field inspections to verify work quality and compliance with mechanical codes and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Coordinate with the engineering team to resolve design discrepancies and improve installation methods.
• Assist in managing materials and equipment, tracking usage, and minimizing waste.
• Support the implementation of safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements:Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical construction as a Supervisor.
• Minimum 3 years in the energy sector (solar/renewables preferred).
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Ability to read mechanical drawings, knowledge of mechanical and safety codes (OSHA), and experience with management tools such as Procore or Bluebeam.
Language: English – Level C1.
Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required.
Work Conditions and Benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours—morning shift (1-hour break)
Vacation: 22 days per year.
Travel: Travel expenses covered at the beginning and end of the project.
Accommodation: Two weeks of hotel accommodation provided at project start, if required.
Tools and Equipment: Company vehicle, fuel, laptop, and mobile phone provided.
Health Insurance: Yes – 50% covered by the company for the employee.
