Operations Coordinator - Equipment, Service & Repair
Hunton Services, a division of Hunton Group, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Coordinator to lead and support our team of shop technicians in the repair and maintenance of rental chillers, generators, and HVAC equipment. This role ensures operational efficiency, workforce coordination, and quality control within the facilities and shops.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the service shop, managing technician schedules, workloads, and priorities to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate incoming/outgoing rental units for service, ensuring timely inspection, repair, and readiness for deployment.
- Assign work orders based on technician expertise and equipment needs.
- Monitor repair timelines and parts usage, ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
- Act as liaison between the Rental service team and sales operations to align delivery timelines and service availability.
- Track preventive maintenance schedules and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Review technician performance and provide coaching, support, and feedback.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with parts procurement and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy and timely repairs.
- Generate service reports and assist in managing operational KPIs (downtime, turnaround time, parts usage, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or technical degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations coordination, service dispatch, or shop supervision, preferably in HVAC, power generation, or industrial rental equipment.
- Proven leadership skills in managing or coordinating a technician team.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, diesel generators, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability in a fast-paced service environment.
- Familiarity with work order software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Forklift certification or ability to operate shop equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and spend time on the shop floor as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- EPA Universal certification, HVAC certification, or relevant technical certifications.
- Working knowledge of load testing, electrical diagnostics, and refrigerant handling.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
