Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000-$2050 per week

Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Clive, IA 50325 – Premier suburb of Des Moines, Iowa
• Facility Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Position: Locum Tenens Physical Therapist (Travel Contract)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 20, 2025 – November 19, 2025)
• Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Patient Demographic: Adult rehabilitation patients
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Free on-site parking

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license – Iowa or compact state preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; inpatient rehab experience strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver customized, intensive rehabilitation therapy to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological disorders, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to optimize patient health, function, and quality of life
• Document patient progress and outcomes using Cerner EHR system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to provide comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation strategies, therapy goals, and discharge planning
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient-centered care plans
