The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. This position involves collaboration with cross- functional teams to ensure that all technical aspects of projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and according to established timelines. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, technical expertise in engineering, and experience in the chemical or energy materials industries.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Technical Project Execution:
· Oversee the technical aspects of assigned projects, including design, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
· Provide hands-on support in solving technical issues as they arise on the construction site.
Ø Coordination with Project Manager:
· Work closely with the Project Manager to align technical project deliverables with the overall business objectives.
· Assist the Project Manager in translating client needs into actionable engineering tasks.
Ø Quality Control and Compliance:
· Ensure adherence to safety standards, engineering codes, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
· Conduct regular inspections and address any engineering-related deficiencies.
Ø Resource and Budget Management:
· Coordinate with technical teams to manage resources, ensuring efficient use of materials and workforce.
· Provide input on engineering-related budgeting, particularly concerning material costs and labor allocation.
Ø Collaboration and Communication:
· Act as a liaison between engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate timely project delivery.
· Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager, providing updates on technical progress and resource needs.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
v Proven experience in project engineering, particularly in chemical or energy-related industries.
v Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools.
v Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and address technical issues promptly.
v Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
