Openwork is partnering with a respected government organization to hire a Job Description Specialist . This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with exceptional writing and analytical skills to help shape and maintain accurate job documentation across a large organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain job descriptions for a variety of positions.
• Conduct job analysis through interviews, questionnaires, and research.
• Write and edit job descriptions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Support job evaluation and classification initiatives.
• Review documents for compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Research industry and market information to validate job content.
• Maintain and organize job description libraries and records.
• Collaborate with departments and leadership teams to confirm job requirements and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field strongly preferred.
• Previous HR or recruiting experience required.
• Demonstrated professional writing and editing experience required.
• Experience creating, revising, or publishing job descriptions required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Background in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is a plus.
