Inside Sales/Customer Service Rep

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Sales/Customer Service Rep position sells services and products using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in marketing and market planning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares quotes and analysis for inquiries received from potential customers.
• Makes sales contacts, researches customer needs, and develops applications of products and services.
• Develops and delivers sales presentations and closes sales.
• Participates in sales forecasting and planning.
• Participates in the development of new products, modification of existing products, and termination of ineffective products.
• Manages technical aspects of committees and working groups.
• Maintains sample inbound/ outbound.
• Timely manages assigned sales budgets.
• Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and/ or 3 years of field sales experience or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
