Senior Water / Wastewater Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water / Wastewater Process Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater process design, with a strong emphasis on treatment processes. This role involves leading the design and implementation of advanced water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes, including raw water pump stations, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, ozone treatment, filtration, and chemical systems.
• Manage and oversee engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure all designs and processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical solutions, and maintain strong relationships.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater process design, with a strong preference for water treatment expertise.
• Proficiency in designing raw water pump stations, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, ozone treatment, filtration, chemical metering pumps, transfer pumps, and chloramine systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, WaterCAD, or equivalent tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in water treatment processes is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and environmental impact reduction.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
