Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Location: New Braunfels, TX
Schedule: Five-On/Five-Off 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Employment Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $23 - $29/hr.

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our automotive manufacturing operations. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment and systems—including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer-based technologies.

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment: screen printers, SMT machines, reflow ovens, conveyors, robotics, scanners, and vision systems.

• Use schematics, manuals, and SOPs to resolve issues and perform PM tasks.

• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

• Assist with installations, line moves, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Mentor operators on basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Support goals in uptime, quality, OEE, and MTBF.

• Participate in APQP and equipment characterization for new technologies.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• 0–3+ years in repair/maintenance

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Ability to read electrical, electronic, and pneumatic schematics

• Good communication skills

Preferred:

• AAS in Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar, or military equivalent

• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and machine software

• Background in electronics troubleshooting and test equipment

• Familiarity with industrial automation and computer-controlled systems

• Lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for up to 10+ hours

• Perform repetitive hand/foot motions and work at heights
