EMT Houston and surrounding areas
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EMT to join our team in Houston, Texas. As an EMT, you will play a vital role in providing emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and provide appropriate medical treatment and transport. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide first aid and medical care as needed.
- Assess patients' conditions and vital signs, documenting information accurately.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
- Collaborate with paramedics and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and medical personnel during emergencies.
- Follow protocols and procedures for patient care and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete reports as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with skills and knowledge.
- Valid EMT certification (e.g., EMT-B, EMT-I) in the state of Texas.
- Current CPR and AED certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and remain calm under stress.
- Physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting and transporting patients.
- A valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
