Procurement/Buyer

Akkodis is seeking a Procurement/Buyer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing sourcing, vendor negotiations, and BOM creation while supporting efficient and cost‑effective procurement operations.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Procurement/Buyer Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with vendors and third‑party suppliers to achieve cost and value objectives.

• Create, maintain, and update accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

• Coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and supply continuity.

• Collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional teams to support procurement and business needs.

• Communicate procurement status, risks, and opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).

• 8–10 years of proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role.

• Strong negotiation skills with hands‑on experience managing multiple vendors and third‑party suppliers in a global environment.

• Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $37.00 per hour
