Selrico Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team and work with inmates at a correctional facility in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to inmates while ensuring a clean and safe environment in accordance with facility protocols.
Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to specified menus and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow all safety and security guidelines specific to a correctional facility setting.
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and report shortages as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus.
- Ability to work in a correctional environment following strict safety and security protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
- Will be working weekends as needed.
- Shift will be 1p-9p.
- Competitive pay of $16.00 per hour, paid weekly.
