Software Test Engineer (Python)

Software Test Engineer (Python) position in Fort Worth TX.

US Citizenship is required for this position

Security Clearance IS NOT REQUIRED

Working four 10-hour days with every Friday off (4/10 work schedule)

Work will be 100% onsite

Job Description:

- Applicant will Review functional requirements and determine Happy Path and Corner Case scenarios to fully exercise the requirement.

- Applicant will be responsible for creating software test scripts in Python or SWAT (Lockheed proprietary scripting language) to conduct safety critical qualification testing.

- Applicant will perform Software Quality Testing (SQT) onsite in the labs

- Applicant will create Software Test Reports and host reviews with internal and external customers.

- Applicant will work with the development team to diagnose and update scripts for software defects .

- Applicant will contribute to test automation efforts by automating existing manual test cases

- Applicant will create/update automation pipelines

- Applicant will create/update Confluence Dashboards from GitLab data

- Applicant will be expected to have good oral and written communication skills.

- Applicant will be expected to flex and adapt schedule during formal test base on test station availability.

Comments:

Would like to combine this request for Level 2 (Max Rate $75/hr ) and Level 3 (Max Rate $85/hr) engineers.

- 5 years of Python Scripting Experience

- 5 years experience of software development on a Linux environment

- 5 years of Functional test case development

- 5 years experience developing software in a Linux Environments (SUSE or RedHat)

- 2 years experience authoring software requirements

- 2 years experience with GitLab pipelines

- 2 years experience using Jira to work/track software development

- 2 years experience with Agile software development
