Electrical Estimator
Overseeing the estimation for commercial electrical projects. Pay: $100-140K Benefits : This position offers benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance and yearly profit sharing Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm Key Responsibilities for Electrical Estimator :
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, conduit, wiring, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates in line with project scope and deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical data for estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven experience (Minimum 5 years) as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.).
- Proficiency in estimating software (EBM preferred, not required).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Valid electrical license or journeyman/master certification a plus.
