Job Title: Automation Specialist – I&E (Oil & Gas)
Location: Midland Basin (Local Candidates Only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist – I&E to support well conversion projects in the Midland Basin . This role is responsible for implementing and supporting automation systems, executing control logic, and ensuring safe and efficient field operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with ABB automation platforms, and a solid understanding of gas lift and plunger lift processes.

This position requires a local candidate due to the onsite Monday–Friday schedule .

Key Responsibilities

• Support automation and I&E activities associated with well conversions across Midland Basin field operations
• Implement and support RMC program configuration and deployment
• Perform C&E (Cause & Effect) review and execution for automation and safety systems
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain communication networks utilizing ABB protocols
• Utilize and support RMC / ABB PCCU systems for well control and automation
• Provide advanced troubleshooting of field automation equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
• Support and maintain automation systems used in gas lift and plunger lift operations
• Conduct and lead Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) to ensure safe commissioning of field equipment
• Coordinate material staging, procurement, and requisition for automation and I&E work scopes
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and field teams to ensure efficient project execution
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture , including use of Stop Work Authority and adherence to company safety policies

Required Qualifications

• I&E experience in the Oil & Gas industry (required)
• Experience with RMC program implementation
• Experience with ABB automation systems and PCCU platforms
• Knowledge of ABB communication protocols and networking
• Experience performing C&E review and execution
• Strong field troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Understanding of gas lift and plunger lift production processes
• Experience leading or participating in PSSRs
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage materials, staging, and field coordination
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and policy compliance
• Ability to work effectively as a team-oriented field professional

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting well conversion projects
• Strong field communication and coordination skills with operations and engineering teams
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced field environment

Work Environment

• Field-based role supporting operations across the Midland Basin
• Onsite Monday–Friday schedule with core hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Must be local to the Midland Basin area
