Position Overview Leads Business Development and Licensing for Community Coffee to significantly expand access of Community Coffee's product portfolio across the beverage industry. Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
  • Leads licensing and/or joint venture strategies to expand Community Coffee brand according to Corporate growth strategy.
  • Has a deep beverage and B2B network to draw upon to immediately add value.
  • Creates scorecard with measurable KPIs with timely communication to Executive Leadership, shareholders and external partners.
  • Provides timely updates to Shareholders and Board of Directors through participation in Board meetings.
  • Assists with the development of the company 5-year strategic plan, annual operating plan and all major promotions and new item introductions.
  • Collaborates frequently with cross functional teams of all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Works directly with Finance and Revenue Growth teams to lead pricing decisions and revenue sharing proposals.
  • Collaborates with Sales Leadership and external partners to provide timely sales reports illustrating sales volume and trends, potential sales and expansion, and the results of potential sales and expansion projects.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to assist in the development of marketing plans, both market-wide and account-specific, for promotions, new items, and limited time offers.
  • Works heavily with Legal team and outside counsel to develop long-term partnerships that benefit and protect Community Coffee.
  • Assists with inventory planning, promotional programs, pricing, and marketing audits.
  • Helps to identify opportunities to increase volumes and decrease costs to improve ROI of all activities.
  • Provides regular guidance and systematic updates to production and sales forecasts.
  • Understands and applies Customer, Consumer, and Industry insights using Retail Link, IRI, and IRI Panel.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years with proven track record of leading licensing or joint venture programs for major CPG brands nationwide.
  • 3+ years distribution experience via licensing or partnerships is required
  • 5+ years in Business Development role required
  • Prior bottled beverage experience is highly desired.
  • Must have experience working with distribution within cold space placement within retail or qsr environment.
  • Previous coffee experience is highly desired but not required.
  • Previous Brand Management experience is desired but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated experience using Retail Link & Syndicated Data via Nielsen and/or IRI
  • Understanding of Consumer Data via Syndicated Panel, Spectra, dunnhumby etc,
  • Category management experience preferred
