We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Technical Product Manager to help define our downstream specialty chemicals offerings. This position plays a strategic role in driving the success of our specialty chemicals product line by effectively managing all aspects of portfolio selection, technical offerings development, and ongoing management to achieve business objectives and meet customer needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management of Process Portfolio Development:
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate internal and external stakeholders to define/develop chemistry product portfolio, product selection guidelines, performance testing capabilities, and laboratory testing needs
- Create detailed project plans and timelines. Establish project milestones and set deadlines to ensure the project stays on track.
- Identify potential risks and issues that may affect project timelines, costs, or quality.
- Develop and implement mitigation plans to address risks and resolve issues promptly.
Product Life Cycle Management:
- Continually evaluate new tools and capabilities entering the market for potential fit. Advocate additions to our product line, as needed.
- Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
- Use competitive insights to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the product line and adjust product strategy as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
· A minimum of ten years of fuel additive application experience or operations at a refinery or chemical plant
· Highly proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Must be familiar with operations of refineries or chemical plants. Able to:
o Confidently lead a team
o Become familiar with RTI technologies,
o Communicate clearly and effectively,
o Efficiently and effectively handle multiple activities at one time,
o Be comfortable meeting with client leadership,
o Perform field service/lab testing
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
The Company requires passing a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the position.
Duration of Work hours
· Typically, 9-hour workdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (including 1 hour for lunch) that may extend up to 12+ hours if an emergency need exists
· As needed based on contract scope, but normally 5 days on-site per week (Monday-Friday)
· Weekend coverage as needed
· Night shift as needed
Working Conditions
· Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.
· Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.
· Routine, intermittent exposure to noise more than 85 dBA-TWA.
· Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection
· Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required.
· Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required.
Physical Demands
· Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes. This requires the ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.
· Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs., without assistance.
· Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance.
· Standing and walking for up to 12 to 16 hours daily with minimal rest breaks. May exceed 10,000 to 15,000 steps per day.
· Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing tasks including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel to assigned customer account
