About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Austin, Texas, 73301!

Join a high-risk, fast-paced academic teaching facility that performs over 500+ deliveries per month . This comprehensive unit includes:

• 20 LDR suites and 4 C-section suites.
• 10 Triage rooms and 14 monitored Ante-partum rooms.
• 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms.
• Support: 24-hour in-house Attending OB, Anesthesia, and NICU coverage.
• Note: The facility is expanding in mid-2026 to a brand-new Women’s Tower.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level nursing care to laboring patients in a high-volume, high-acuity setting.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, identifying and responding to complications.
• Assist in C-sections and high-risk deliveries within an academic environment.
• Collaborate with in-house attendings, residents, and the NICU team for perinatal transports and emergency interventions.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum: 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of clinical experience in high-volume settings.

Education:

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited college.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Credentials:

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Texas.
• Fetal Monitoring: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross).
  • ACLS (Advanced Life Support).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) via the AAP.

Preferred Credentials:

• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
