Job Summary

Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, dish stations, and storage rooms.
• Operate industrial dishwashing machines and ensure proper handling of kitchenware, glassware, and utensils.
• Sort, stack, and store cleaned items in designated areas.
• Assist with waste management, recycling, and proper disposal of food and non-food items.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down banquet and event setups as needed.
• Respond quickly to urgent cleaning needs during service periods.
• Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous stewarding or kitchen support experience in a high-volume setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to hot, wet, and humid environments.
