Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the VP of Finance. This person will record daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to accounting policies that includes record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits. Assignment of special projects by Controller.

Overall Responsibilities

 Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

 Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

 Maintains the general ledger.

 Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.

 Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from

banks.

 Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.

 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of

accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting

and general ledger reliability.

 Prepare monthly journal entries.

 Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly and quarterly state sales taxes.

 Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting,

including consolidations.

 Assist with the annual external audit.

 Work with AR, AP, and other departments as needed to resolve issues.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.

 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience is preferred.

 US GAAP knowledge is required.
