2nd Shift Warehouse Specialist

NSI Industries is seeking a motivated 2nd Shift Warehouse Specialist to join our team at our Sandshell Drive Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, second-shift position (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) supporting our dynamic and fast-paced operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comfortable navigating a small, handheld scanner to conduct a high variety of transactions in a Distribution Center environment
- Picks standard customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of product is packed and meet standards
- Operates or trains on any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
- Able to pick LTL and/or large orders using MHE such as stand-up Reach truck or Order/Cherry Picker
- Cross-trained to process complex eCommerce and Special Handling orders
- Inspects customer orders for shipment, verifying that the correct number and type of product is packed and meets standards
- Packs all customer orders effectively to provide safe handling by carriers, assisting in quality products arriving to end customer
- Ability to process small parcel shipments and troubleshoot address validation and/or ship method issues
- Assists in loading outgoing shipments either manually or with MHE
- Receives incoming product, ability to separate by SKU, apply LPN labels and prepare stock for putaway
- Organizes incoming inventory deliveries for proper storage and placement.
- Efficiently stocks shelves with newly packaged items from the packaging department
- Consolidates primary and overstock locations to effectively utilize the cubic space of the distribution center
- Responsible for making and ensuring putaway and all pick locations are replenished
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Experience working with computers, document printers, scanners, label printers, and barcode labels
- Experience with warehouse operations and procedures
- Knowledge and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – Red Prairie and/or Softeon systems are a plus
- Certification (or willingness to be trained) to drive forklifts, order/cherry picker, or other material handling equipment
- Proven ability to work safely with above average accuracy
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
