Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS ACLS* NIHSS* Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedics. The shift is three 12-hour days. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Travel experience is preferred. Charting will be done using an electronic system. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS*, and NIHSS*. The patient ratio is typically 1:6. Weekend coverage is required for half of the scheduled shifts. Floating to other units may be required as needed. Nurses will care for a variety of patient diagnoses and conditions. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various health professionals. The unit consists of 36 rooms with a total of 36 beds. Additional skills required include managing ports, tracheostomy care, and wound care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
