Hilton Austin Conference Center, located at the center of Downtown and attached to the Austin Convention Center, is looking for a Full-Time Security Officer to join our awesome team!

As a Security Officer at Hilton Austin, you’ll be the calm in the chaos, the friendly face with a watchful eye, and the person guests and team members trust when it matters most.

You will:

• Patrol the property and ensure a safe, secure environment for guests and team members
• Respond quickly and confidently to incidents, emergencies, and guest needs
• Keep a close eye on activity through rounds and surveillance systems
• Work closely with hotel leadership and local authorities when needed
• Provide top-tier hospitality while maintaining safety (yes—you can do both!)

Full open availability is required- Holidays and Weekends, AM, PM, or Overnight shifts when needed

The rate of pay starts at $19.50 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Security Officer, you would be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions
• Respond to emergencies, including but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property
• Promote safe work practices
• Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed
• Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
