Openwork is hiring Window Tellers to support the Harris County Tax Office in delivering essential public services. If you enjoy helping others and want a role with real community impact, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About the Role:

As a Window Teller, you’ll assist residents with vehicle registration, titling, licensing, and tax payments. You’ll ensure every customer receives clear guidance, timely support, and a positive experience at the counter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, accurate assistance.
• Process payments by cash, card, or check with precision.
• Maintain secure and accurate financial records.
• Verify identification, documentation, and ownership for authenticity.
• Input data into state systems with strong attention to detail.
• Follow established procedures for fraud prevention and information security.
• Participate in hands-on training and ongoing skill development.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED (U.S.-accredited)
• At least 6 months of recent , in-person customer service with cash handling
  (Retail, hospitality, banking, or similar experience)
• Typing ability of 30+ WPM.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• A customer-first attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Job Details:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays may be required; some travel between offices possible
• $15/hour, paid weekly

Selected candidates must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and employment/education verification.
