Sr. Digital Marketing Data Analyst

About the role
We are seeking a Sr. Digital Marketing Data Analyst to measure, analyze, and interpret the performance of our digital marketing programs. In this role, you’ll create insightful reports and data-driven narratives across channels including content, email, social, video, digital advertising, marketing automation, and web platforms. Using analytics, BI, and research tools, you’ll deliver actionable insights to inform strategic decisions. Strong communication skills and a passion for partner engagement are essential as you help drive innovation and keep our marketing efforts competitive.
What you will do
- Collaborate with partners and the digital marketing team to define key metrics, understand analytics needs, and deliver actionable insights through reports and dashboards.
- Create and present recurring and ad-hoc performance reports for marketing, sales, and senior leadership using tools like Power BI, Google Analytics, and Quantum Metric.
- Plan and facilitate partner intake sessions to gather requirements and develop reporting solutions aligned with business goals and priorities.
- Collect, process, model, and transform high-volume, complex data from various sources to support descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, issues, and data accuracy; develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
- Ensure documentation of reporting processes is current, complete, and accessible for consistency and scalability.
- Reflect on project requirements to identify potential gaps and provide proactive recommendations for improved outcomes and delivery.
- Build a strong understanding of Symetra’s products, customers, data infrastructure, and strategic objectives, while ensuring data quality and integrity for reliable performance measurement.

Compensation
Salary Range: $85,400 - $142,300 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred — or 5–7 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Experienced in a corporate environment, ideally within a marketing department, partnering with Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, platforms, and practices, with the ability to interpret and present results to partners.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative and self-driven, with strong interpersonal skills and experience working cross-functionally with analytics and marketing teams.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Quantum Metric, and data visualization tools—preferably Power BI.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data, with experience in data modeling and handling large-scale datasets.
- Able to gather and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources.
- Capable of managing multiple data analysis requests of varying size, scope, and complexity.
