JOB SUMMARY:

Support revenue retention and growth as a representative of Spindletop Energy Products, a leading distributor of pro-grade control and emissions equipment. Execute established route schedules to maintain regular contact with existing customers, process routine orders, and identify additional sales opportunities within an assigned territory. Provide in-store sales support during non-route periods to assist with walk-in customers and order processing. Serve as a vital connection between customers and the Outside Sales team, escalating complex opportunities while handling day-to-day account maintenance. Success in this role requires strong customer service skills, reliable execution of route schedules, and a service-first approach to consistently enhance customer satisfaction.

Type: Full-Time

Travel Required: Local Travel on Route

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute established route schedules to maintain regular contact with existing customers
• Process routine orders and reorders from existing accounts
• Identify and communicate additional sales opportunities to Outside Sales Representatives
• Provide basic product information and assist customers with standard product selection
• Maintain stock levels in customer locations where inventory is established
• Document all customer interactions and update account information
• Support in-store operations and assist walk-in customers during non-route periods
• Process orders and coordinate with operations team to ensure timely delivery
• Collect and relay customer feedback to improve service quality
• Develop working knowledge of product applications and basic technical specifications
• Maintain vehicle and product samples in professional condition
• Achieve assigned revenue targets for route accounts

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0-2 years of customer service or entry-level sales experience
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service orientation
• Basic understanding of technical products preferred
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Supply Stores, or related industries a plus
• Ability to follow established processes and schedules

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to drive work hours within assigned territory
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of product samples/inventory
• Extended periods of driving and walking required
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods during customer visits and in-store shifts

CAREER PROGRESSION:

This position provides an entry point into industrial sales with potential advancement to Outside Sales Representative role based on performance, territory knowledge development, and demonstrated sales aptitude.
