The Barks & Recreation team is seeking new Kennel Technicians to add to our pack in Spring Texas! A love of dogs, strong communication skills, and great work ethic are essential to this role. This position requires the ability to stand, lift, work in all types of weather and be very active. The perfect candidate MUST BE comfortable with all dog breeds and sizes, handling aggressive dogs, as well as with cleaning and the messier aspects of pet care.

Kennel Technician tasks include:

• Cleaning, including cleaning indoor/outdoor suites, scooping up our guests messes, doing laundry, sanitizing kennels, and cleaning play areas. We like to keep an extra clean (and extra safe!) space for our pup pals.
• Feeding and caring for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. We're looking for confident dog handlers who are experienced with a variety of breeds. Love of long afternoon fetch sessions, extended belly rubs, and post-playtime puppy cuddle sessions required.
• Conducting daycare play sessions, taking simple photographs of our guest pups, and being an active member of the pack. This is an active role where you will be engaged with the dogs the majority of your shift. When it comes to the pups, it's hard work and hard play!
• Assisting the front desk staff with setting up reservations, payments, refunds, check-ins, check-outs, and other tasks. Our pup and pet parent clients are like an extended family.
• Previous kennel technician/attendant experience is a must!
• Previous experience with Gingr software a PLUS but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds- we have large dogs in our daycare daily!

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Kennel: 1 year minimum
• Kennel: 2 year preferred
