Church Secretary
The Church of the Good Shepherd Lutheran is looking for a Church Secretary.
The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook), be discreet, be able to maintain confidentiality about personal matters of the church and its congregants and must possess strong inter-personal skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee all administrative functions of the church
- respond, process, and route all incoming calls, emails, and visitors,
- prepare council reports and email to council members as well as print them prior to meetings; upload all council and committee reports to the OneDrive; maintain hard copies of all administrative documents, ex: committee minutes
- order and maintain office supplies and equipment,
- prepare worship bulletins for all regularly scheduled liturgies, as well as weddings and funerals,
- design and produce various publications for the church, including monthly newsletters, Advent/Lent program bulletins, concert programs, event flyers, etc.,
- maintain the church database, membership lists, and the church register
- create and maintain the church calendar.
The Church Secretary is a part-time, 12 hour per week position, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Office hours will be 9am-1pm. The hourly rate of pay is $20 per hour. The Church Secretary reports directly to the Pastor of the Congregation and indirectly to the Church Council. If you feel you are a suitable candidate, please send your resume to [email protected].
