Position Overview:

The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in the kitchen, acting as the second-in-command to the Executive Chef. This position is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled culinary professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and execution
  
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities to ensure efficient workflow
  
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards
  
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards
  
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
  
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for ingredients and supplies
  
• Step in to lead the kitchen during the Executive Chef s absence
  
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
  
• Implement and maintain kitchen policies and procedures
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  
• Passion for culinary excellence and innovation
  
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $60,000 $65,000
  
• Bonus Potential: Up to 10% of base salary
