Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Tenant Buildouts
Location: Addison, TX
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Industry: Commercial Construction – General Contracting

We are a growing General Contractor specializing in commercial tenant buildouts across the DFW area. Our projects range from office, retail, and medical interiors to complex commercial renovations. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work, on time and on budget, with a strong emphasis on client relationships and team collaboration.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager who’s ready to take the next step in their construction career. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer or Junior PM with 1–3 years of experience looking to grow into a leadership role. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to assist in managing day-to-day project operations from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing tenant buildout projects

• Assist with subcontractor procurement, buyouts, and scope reviews

• Maintain and update project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Track project schedules, material deliveries, and lead times

• Conduct site walks and coordinate with field personnel to resolve issues

• Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines

• Help manage project closeout processes and punch lists

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, ideally in a project engineer or similar support role

• Strong understanding of construction documents, schedules, and processes

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area or willing to relocate
