Scope: Supports the Hospitality Manager in the daily operation of the lodge across front desk, housekeeping, culinary, and maintenance, and assumes responsibility for the lodge in the Hospitality Manager's absence

Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture (following all SOP's, JSA's, policies and procedures) as set out by Target Hospitality
- Assist the Hospitality Manager with daily lodge operations and assume full responsibility for the lodge during the Hospitality Manager's absence or off-rotation period
- Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure optimal customer service, overseeing scheduling and desk operations in conjunction with management
- Provide hands-on support in each department as required, and on a daily basis where business needs dictate
- Greet guests and handle guest issues, resolving situations as they arise and escalating when appropriate
- Supervise, train, and coach hourly staff, providing documented feedback and supporting performance management
- Assist with scheduling and timekeeping to control labor costs against budget targets
- Support management of budget allocations and labor costs in each department
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accounts receivable is updated and provide feedback when required
- Prepare operational reports and support or conduct weekly department head meetings
- Liaise with the Hospitality Manager on a continuous basis to provide feedback and seek assistance as required
- Monitor room readiness, occupancy, and meal counts to align staffing and production to arrivals and departures
- Verify compliance with HACCP, FIFO, and food safety standards in coordination with the culinary team
- Complete facility walkthroughs and inspections, logging maintenance needs and following items through to closure
- Use Microsoft Outlook and company systems to provide communication in all areas as required
- Attend and help execute health and safety meetings at the lodge, and participate in Target Hospitality emergency response procedures
- Work within company policies and procedures on a regular basis
- Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor or manager
Physical Demands:
- Stand and walk for long periods of time (up to 12 hours or longer) with scheduled breaks
- Short and long-distance walking required across the lodge property and grounds
- Use of stairs and step stools
- Use force when pushing/pulling carts that weigh on average 50lbs
- Frequently lift an average weight of 25lbs with a maximum of 50lbs; on occasion where weights may exceed 50lbs the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory
- Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder and above shoulder with frequent neck/back/torso twisting from left to right without restriction
- Perform repetitive movements at the wrist including side to side/up or down and multiple grasps of an average of 10lbs with a maximum of 25lbs
- Simple, power and fine finger manipulation for a duration of an average 12-hour shift
- Extended periods of computer and desk work for reporting and scheduling
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms/signals
- Ability to communicate effectively; written and orally in English
- Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes and ability to read small text such as product warning labels
- Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments, including outdoor conditions while inspecting grounds and facilities
- Ability to work within a rotational schedule (6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per manager's discretion/business needs)
- Ability to work safely and navigate within small/close quarters and congested areas
- May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings
- Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home
- On-call availability for after-hours operational and emergency situations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' supervisory or assistant management experience in a remote camp, hotel, or hospitality operation, or equivalent
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management preferred
- Experience supervising hourly staff across more than one department is an asset
- Must have the ability and experience to deal with emergency situations
- Valid driver's license is required
- ServSafe certification required or must be obtained within the timeframe established by Target Hospitality
- First aid certification is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to read and write in English
- Work within a team environment
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision
- Strong prioritization and time management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home
- Must be able to pass a background check and urine analysis
- Must provide your own transportation to and from the facility
