Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in San Antonio, TX at 1130 Goliad Rd. San Antonio, TX 78223.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm overtime and Rotating weekends may be required

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have application for Phlebotomy License filed with the Washington State Department of Health at time of hire
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program from an accredited agency

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
