What We Are Looking For
As Assistant to the three associate deans, you will be supporting the Honors College leadership with daily administrative operations such as handling departmental inquiries, scheduling, communicating with various faculty and staff, analyzing and preparing reports, and providing meeting and event support. You will also serve as front desk reception for the Honors College Dean's suite, with tasks and responsibilities supporting that role.
A High School Diploma, three years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Associates degree is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- 25% of your time: Serve as first point of contact for visitors to dean's suite, welcome guests, address questions and provide cheerful direction. Perform wide range of office professional/clerical functions: computer, duplication, filing, receptionist, and other related duties as assigned. Answer phone, take messages, direct calls, answer questions when appropriate, schedule meetings. Interface with students, faculty, administration, prospective student and parents and visitors to support Baylor's mission. Assist faculty and staff with special projects as needed. Assist in scheduling meetings and events. Order food for various functions/coordinate delivery/payment of invoices. Maintain inventory of office supplies and initiate maintenance of office equipment as needed. Supervise 1-2 student workers
- 25% of your time: Assisting Associate Dean for faculty with daily administrative operations such as handling departmental inquiries, scheduling, communicating with various faculty and staff, analyzing and preparing reports, and providing meeting and event supportall in relationship to faculty affairs. Duties specifically related to this associate dean include: assistance with annual faculty performance review, tenure and promotion processes; support development of faculty handbook (bylaws, procedures, etc.); assistance with travel plans and expense report documentation; support college's external grantmanship regarding research; support associate dean's public and university work, engagements and collaboration; support associate dean's diversity, inclusion and belonging work.
- 25% of your time: Assisting Associate Dean for undergraduate education with daily administrative operations such as handling departmental inquiries, scheduling, communicating with various faculty and staff, analyzing and preparing reports, and providing meeting and event supportall in relationship to Strategic Initiatives. Duties specifically related to this associate dean include assisting in developing new and emerging college initiatives and academic programs and projects, fostering university and community partnerships, and planning for meetings, collaborations, and events.
- 25% of your time: Assisting Associate Dean for strategic Initiatives with daily administrative operations such as handling departmental inquiries, scheduling, communicating with various faculty and staff, analyzing and preparing reports, and providing meeting and event supportall in relationship to undergraduate studies. Duties specifically related to this associate dean include: monitoring and curating data associated with recruitment and scholarships; supporting review processes of college curriculum committee led by associate dean; facilitating associate dean's public and university work; and providing ad hoc assistance to the Director of Enrollment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
