Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nurse Assignment in Round Rock, TX. 13-week contract, 12-hour nights; ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS required. Join a collaborative Emergency Department (ED) team serving the Austin area.

Job Details

• Location: Round Rock, TX 78681 (Austin area) — ideal for Texas nursing jobs and travel nurse positions
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460–$1,540/week
• Setting: 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track, 5 behavioral health rooms
• EMR: MEDITECH (Meditech EMR experience a plus)

Top Qualifications — Emergency Department RN / ER RN

• Active RN license: Texas or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (ED Nurse / ER RN)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
• Experience caring for trauma and behavioral health patients preferred (trauma nurse, behavioral health nursing)
• Strong multitasking, teamwork, and self-starting abilities
• Ability to follow dress code (navy blue scrubs)

Key Responsibilities — Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to ED patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department and Fast Track environment
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with a range of acute, urgent, and critical conditions
• Perform and assist with procedures: splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
• Manage behavioral health patients safely, including de-escalation and coordination with behavioral health rooms/team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, LVNs, and physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH EMR and participate in quality improvement initiatives
