Electrical MEP Coordinator

Reliant Critical Infrastructure
Houston, TX

Join a collaborative and forward-thinking construction team as a Site MEP Technical Coordinator. In this role, you will be instrumental in connecting owner project requirements with onsite activities and commissioning processes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex construction projects, focusing on electrical systems and basic mechanical/controls interfaces. The company values proactive, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate installation methods to ensure alignment with project design requirements, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owner representatives, subcontractors, field service representatives, and commissioning agents to facilitate issue resolution and maintain project schedules.
  • Drive commissioning readiness, including pre-functional checks and load-soak preparation, while maintaining structured and accurate reporting.
  • Lead field documentation efforts using Procore, managing punch lists, pre-task plan verifications, and safety walkdowns (including LOTO and PPE compliance).
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including photos, checklists, and punch items, and communicate project status and risks to leadership and clients.
  • Act as the onsite point-of-contact in the absence of project leadership, escalating issues as needed to keep the project on track.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support across electrical and basic mechanical/controls systems as required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of construction experience, with a preference for electrical systems.
  • Completion of 2 years of trade school, college, or equivalent journeyman experience.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Adobe/PDF editing tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, and switchgear systems, with exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within North America as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Preferred: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and First Aid/CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
