Job Description: As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily HR operations and full employee lifecycle with a focus on recruiting coordination, job postings, and the support of employee relations, benefits administration, compliance and policy implementation, as well as continuous improvement of our talent acquisition practices. This role will partner with the VP, People and hiring managers to help attract, onboard, and retain top talent while supporting broader HR initiatives and compliance efforts. In this role, you will support the fostering of a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Support
Coordinate end-to-end recruiting activities, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, managing candidate communication, and updating applicant tracking systems and HRIS (JazzHR/BambooHR).
Post open positions on internal and external platforms, including job boards, LinkedIn, and community organizations.
Track application progress, follow up with hiring managers, and ensure timely and professional candidate experience.
Maintain the job description library and update templates as needed to align with F&F branding and compliance.
Collaborate with hiring teams to improve job marketing strategies and optimize sourcing methods.
Utilize HR databases to generate data insights with the use of generated reports
HR Operations & Generalist Functions
Onboarding - Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and system setup in coordination with IT and hiring managers.
HR Administration- Assist in maintaining employee records, processing changes, managing HR databases and ensuring data accuracy across HR platforms, generate reports as needed
Training and Development- Provide support in the administration of employee programs, including coordination of training sessions and professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills, and performance tracking. Employee Relations- Respond to general employee inquiries and escalate issues to HR leadership as appropriate, support employee recognition programs and support initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture
Compensation and Benefits- Support payroll efforts, benefits programs and compensation structures to ensure accuracy and compliance
Policy Development: Assist in creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures in line with organizational objectives.
Performance Management: Support performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance improvement opportunities.
Compliance: Support efforts to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements.
Professional Development
Enroll in and complete company-sponsored recruiting or talent acquisition training programs to enhance technical knowledge and sourcing capabilities.
Research best practices and propose improvements to F&F’s recruiting processes and employer branding.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.)
2+ years of experience in HR support or recruiting coordination preferred
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems preferred (JazzHR, BambooHR) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high attention to detail.
Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Demonstrated interest in learning and growing within the HR/recruiting profession
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting recruiting in a professional services or construction/engineering environment.
Experience in a managerial role preferably as a generalist
Experience with employee engagement initiatives
Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and employment regulations preferred
Familiarity with performance management systems and proficiency in HRIS
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification or enrollment in a recruiting-focused course preferred.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
