TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Big Spring, Texas, 79720!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role License: Current active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: We are seeking an experienced PACU RN for an urgent need. The position requires availability for both weekend and weekday on-call shifts. Call will be shared between two RNs, rotating weekly between Monday, Tuesday, Friday to Sunday, and Wednesday and Thursday the following week. Candidates must have experience in recovering patients from general surgery, GI endoscopy, and post-operative care. The discharges are typically related to the procedures performed in the unit. Experience in trauma level facilities is preferred. The role involves a variety of responsibilities including airway assessments, medication administration, and patient management. Candidates should be proficient with the charting system. Experience in a community hospital setting is beneficial. Travel experience is required. The unit supports adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a daily census of 3-5 patients. The facility collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
