Maintenance Mechanic
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete timely repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Inspect systems, identify potential problems, and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with installation of new equipment as needed
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3+ years of maintenance or mechanical experience preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (heat, cold, noise)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with HVAC, PLCs, or industrial equipment
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems
Work Environment:
- Industrial or manufacturing setting
- May require standing, bending, climbing, and working in tight spaces
Schedule:
- Full-time; may include overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts depending on business needs
