Sr. Cloud Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Cloud Architect for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role requires AWS Solution Architect certification and hands‑on expertise in provisioning cloud infrastructure while driving automation and CI/CD practices.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Cloud Architect job responsibilities include:

• Design right‑fit, secure, and scalable AWS cloud architectures aligned with AWS Well‑Architected Framework principles.

• Provision and configure AWS infrastructure for applications, including those migrating from on‑prem environments.

• Implement IaC automation using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

• Lead capacity planning, monitoring, performance optimization, and compliance/security best practices across AWS environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define standards, best practices, and end‑to‑end infrastructure lifecycle processes (Plan → Build → Deploy → Operate).

• Develop technology roadmaps, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support architecture consulting engagements and proposals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 15+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 5+ years working specifically on AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture.

• AWS Certified Solution Architect with strong hands‑on experience designing and provisioning AWS cloud environments using best practices.

• Expertise in automation, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and securing AWS environments to meet compliance requirements.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $90.00 per hour
