Job Summary

Kaspar Circle Y Saddles is seeking a Product Design & Innovation Lead – Western Gear to drive forward-thinking development of saddles and tack. This full-time role in Yoakum, TX blends creativity with craftsmanship and product strategy. Product Design & Innovation Lead Responsibilities

• - Lead ideation, prototyping, and development of saddles and tack.
• - Translate rider feedback and trends into functional, aesthetic product concepts.
• - Develop specifications, patterns, and prototype iterations.
• - Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• - Ensure production feasibility and scalability.
• - Monitor product performance metrics and participate in reviews.
• - Define product branding, features, and continuous improvement strategies.
• - All other duties as assigned by management.

Product Design & Innovation Lead Skills and Competencies

• - Strong design and prototyping abilities with attention to detail.
• - Creative problem-solving and practical application in manufacturing.
• - Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• - High organizational and project management capability.
• - Passion for the Western lifestyle and gear functionality.

Product Design & Innovation Lead Qualifications

• - Experience in product design and saddle/tack development.
• - Deep understanding of Western, ranching, or roping industries.
• - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• - Bonus: CAD software or Adobe Creative Suite experience.

Work Environment

Based at our Yoakum, TX facility, this role includes both office and hands-on shop work with occasional outdoor product testing and limited travel.

Physical Requirements

• - Stand or walk for extended periods (approx. 75% of the time).
• - Occasional bending, stooping, and twisting (approx. 25%).
• - Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
