Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be expected to perform a variety of general accounting functions along with assisting in invoicing, collections, accounts payable and the monthly financial reporting close process. This position reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for applying general principles of accounting, reviewing, and analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. An ideal candidate is responsive, thoughtful, self-directed, positive, and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist with reviewing financial transactions and activities for assigned accounts and departments.

· Assist with preparing monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements for assigned areas to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and established policies and procedures.

· Assist with maintaining accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data.

· Assist with maintaining accounting controls and audit documents.

· Assist with preparing journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts.

· Assist with audit requests and provide information as requested.

· Participate in special projects, team training, and development.

· Assist in the processing and oversight of accounts payable.

· Assist with the development, review, and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, and the maintenance of supporting documentation and records.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

Qualifications

· BA degree in Accounting or Finance.

· Minimum 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience.

· Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint,

· Experience with integrated accounting / ERP software.

· Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.

· Well organized, proactive, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

· Ability to adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters.

· Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and respectful lines of communication with management.

· Ability to be self-directed in a team-oriented environment.

Location:

· The Senior Accountant position will be onsite and based in San Antonio, Texas.

Work Environment Requirements:

1. May require sitting or standing and walking for long periods throughout the day.

2. Knight Aerospace reserves the right to cross train team members to various areas within the company.
