The general purpose of a Production Lead assistant is to oversee and guide the production team to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes ensuring the organization’s production goals and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment.

Key Focus Areas:

• Lead and manage production, providing guidance and support to meet production goals.
• Assist in planning production schedules to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Quality Control.
• Production Efficiency.
• Documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor production according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor proper functioning and production quantities.
• Verifying all materials received are the correct items.
• Perform start and shut down machine procedures if necessary.

QUALITY CONTROL:

• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report any quality issues or machine malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Follow quality control procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy.

EMPLOYEE SAFETY:

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Participate in safety training sessions and drills to stay updated on best practices.
• Report safety hazards, near-misses, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

CLEAN AND ORGANIZED WORK AREAS:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
• Follow the 5S+Safety methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) to organize workspaces.

PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY:

• Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Minimize machine downtime by addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
