• Day Coverage: 11 MDs + 2 NPPAs

• Swing Coverage: 1 NPPA

• Night Coverage: 1 MD + 2 NPPAs

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Inpatient hospitalist management

• Admissions and discharges

• Acute inpatient medical care

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active unrestricted TX medical license required

• Board: BC in FM, HM, or IM required

• Active DEA with TX address required; must include schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5

• ACLS required

• Residency completed in FM or IM

• Recent clinical experience required

• Case logs from the past 2 years required

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have clean TX license, DEA, and board certification in hand at presentation

• Proof of CME for the past 2 years including:

• 9 hours Trauma CME

• 4 hours Stroke CME

• Flu vaccine current season

• TB test within 12 months or chest X-ray if TB positive

• Tdap within 10 years

• Hep B, MMR, and Varicella required

• Files with adverse actions require full documentation for review

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient hospitalist/nocturnist coverage

• Manage admissions, rounding, and patient care coordination

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary inpatient teams

• Maintain accurate and timely Epic documentation

• Provide quality patient-centered inpatient care
